Penn's Division of Public Safety
Beginning in the late 1990s, Penn's Public Safety Division adopted a multifaceted approach to supporting the local community by relocating its headquarters to an off-campus location, expanding patrol beyond the campus boundaries, increasing the number of sworn police officers, and developing several community relations initiatives to address issues of concern among local residents.
